The Slip-Trailed collection consists of wheel-thrown pottery made from porcelain clay. Each piece is decorated using a method called “slip-trailing”, which involves drawing lines with a fine-tipped nozzled bulb containing stained clay slip or underglaze. Colourful underglazes are then hand painted onto the greenware, providing decorative accents or filling in blank spaces. Pots are fired twice before finishing them off with a hand-painted touch of gold lustre and fired for a third time. Beautiful enough for special occasions, or simply to uplift the daily routine, this collection is truly special.
Gold lustred pottery is food safe, but not safe to use in the microwave. Gentle hand washing is recommended as dishwasher detergents can be abrasive and will eventually wear away the gold lustre with multiple washings.

The Printworks collection consists of wheel-thrown porcelain pottery decorated with patterned tissue transfers. These transfers are either silk-screened by hand in the studio using ceramic underglazes and stains, or are obtained commercially from ceramics suppliers. The printed patterns are carefully placed to fill the blank porcelain surface and convey a sense of rustic comfort, warmth and simplicity. This collection is a favourite of many.

The Glazeworks series is a recent addition to my pottery repertoire, and represents a playful exploration of colour and texture. So far, my works are one-off pieces whereby I am searching for colour combinations and moods that appeal to me, and hopefully, to others.
